Human Resources Manager

Eisner Health is seeking a qualified Human Resources Manager to join our team! Under the direction of the Human Resources Director, the Human Resources Manager will manage the day-to-day Human Resources functions including employee training and development, inter-departmental employee relations, Paycom/HRIS administration, and departmental compliance with all administrative and regulatory policies and procedures. Incumbents in this position are expected to support all organizational expectations and perform duties as required, this includes, but is not limited to, the following:

  • Assist the Director, Human Resources, in establishing the strategic direction for Human Resources; assist in the development and implementation of human resource policies and procedures, and ensuring compliance with federal and state labor laws.
  • Ensure compliance and reporting obligations are met.Develop and maintain systems and processes to ensure the Center is prepared to successfully complete audits.
  • Determine staff development and training needs; assist in the implementation of appropriate training programs and monitor results of training to ensure organizational goals are met.
  • Collaborate with other managers to build employee engagement.
  • Develop and recommend implementation of all human resources policies.
  • Maintain and oversee Eisner’s Benefits Management program.
  • Assist the Human Resources Director with maintaining all contracts, such as staffing, affiliations, services, and liability and insurance.
  • Oversees and participates in employee relations functions:
  • Counsel employees on employment-related issues and facilitates their resolution.
  • Counsel supervisory staff in performance management and resolving employee problems.
  • Monitor employee counseling and disciplinary procedure; monitors and approves involuntary terminations.
  • Advise management on major employee problems and liability.
  • Perform managerial duties including interviewing applicants for employment; assigning and reviewing progress of assignments; conducting performance appraisals and recommending salary increases; and developing higher levels of expertise in staff members by encouraging education, participation and providing learning opportunities.
  • Visit all Eisner facilities and programs on a regular basis to identify training needs and monitor morale.
  • Incumbents in this position manages a small staff of three employees.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required, HR certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years HR experience, minimum 2 years of Supervisor experience.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
  • Extensive experience in benefits administration and employee relations.
  • Proficient in computer skills, word processing, presentation software, Excel including pivot tables/Vlookup, and HRIS.
  • Very effective oral and written communication skills.
